New Moon July 20, 2020
Revise, Rebuild
The New Moon in Cancer 28º26’ on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10:32am PST offers an opportunity to connect to our inner self and the place
where we feel at home. It is about a greater sense of safety and security for ourselves because the structure on which we build our lives
is being upended, and we now have to revise and rebuild.
Take time to define what security means to you now and to go about making that a reality. To determine what changes to make in your life
that will benefit you well beyond this week. Recognize where improvements can be made but importantly what’s already been accomplished.
So that you can continue to engage in the world with a healthy inner balance, employ a sense of objectivity so you will be able to stand
back and see things more rationally. There is a window of opportunity to find some balance between creating your own sense of security,
realizing what it is you really need, as well as extending that to others, while continuing to be respectful of appropriate boundaries
and restrictions.
This will require an adjustment and balance between feelings and your inner world and the responsibilities and structures of the outer
world. Of letting go of old and outmoded belief systems from the past in order to enable you to embrace a broader and more inclusive
approach that will help take you into a more enlightened future.
It is also going to be an emotionally fluctuating time, with your perception of the world very subjective.
Be aware that there is going to be intensity, impatience, frustrations, drama, restrictions, tests, and difficulties with people
being hasty, jealous, stubborn, hot tempered and anger surfacing when it typically wouldn’t.
Heal any of your own anger issues, and give a wide berth to angry people. Avoid unnecessary risks and being impulsive, rash and
argumentative. Remain open-minded, with ample patience, and being prudent are all required to stay focused with determination and
persistence to enable you to have the ability to put thoughts and plans into action. Tackle one thing at a time and start with the
most important task.
Your relationships with many of your friends and family started to change the end of June when you realized truths about those around you.
Now you can be proactive in changing your interactions with others, even ending some relationships.
Many insecurities can arise with this New Moon, whether in your relationships or within yourself, so try not to let them control you.
With the prominence of Cancer, this is also a time to create a sense of family around you, which isn’t just about your blood relatives.
You can create it with those you choose like your friends, roommates, coworkers, neighbors, and even your pets. Cancer is also about home
so make your living space your sanctuary where you can retreat and recharge. Overall, this New Moon helps you to start a new cycle.
Eventually you will start feeling more at peace with your surroundings, your relationships and more at home within yourself.
Balance your heart with your mind. Become aware of the things and beliefs you are have that are holding you back from living your best life.
Very often, we are the ones that are in our own way when a little habit, a fear, or a voice of doubt keeps us in a limited mindset and
state of being.
All of us have experienced great change this year that was and continues to be challenging. But, we have to take the turmoil, the pain
and find ways to make it work for us. No matter the challenges in our outer world, and no matter how difficult the tearing down and
rebuilding of the life we once knew, we have an opportunity to find the support of our home and our loved ones, the people around us
who nurture our heart and provide emotional security.
This New Moon is about setting intentions for the next 6 months ahead, which wraps up 2020. Make sure whatever goals you pursue now will
end in results you will be satisfied concluding this year with, for that will set the tone for how you begin 2021.
Now is the time to take what you have learned in the past to create a better life. This is a time for each of us to shine and be a
beacon of light for others through acts of kindness, compassion, patience, understanding, and forgiveness. This is the beginning
of a new future.
The reversed Chariot card is about taking the time to reassess your wants, desires, and goals and make sure everything is in alignment
with your best interests. It is a warning that you are letting obstacles and challenges get in the way, preventing you from achieving
what you set out to do. Stop for a moment and think about the things that matter most and why you want to achieve the goals you have set.
If something is not moving forward as you planned, examine and re-evaluate the situation and check to see if it’s a sign that you need to
change course. Look for another solution to your problems. Tighten the reins and become more disciplined in what you are doing. The key
is to focus your energies on what you can control rather than what you cannot.
We will finally see the possibilities, be open to new ideas and experiences, find more truth and wisdoms, revive hopes and dreams long forgotten,
for they will be from the depths of our souls and will benefit our lives and our world more than we ever imagined. There is a new World
coming.
You are already spending time alone via social distancing and quarantining, but this card is about using the time to go deeper within
yourself because you can learn a lot about yourself from going within. You can hear the wisdom inside yourself while seeing both your
personal strengths and flaws allowing you to work on things you have wanted to address and build up your energies for when you reconnect
with the world.
Use this New Moon energy to burst through to a fresh viewpoint, a fresh start.
