This New Moon in Leo is a creative time where you can discover the magic that lies in unexpected things and places. It also coincides with The Lions Gate 88 portal, which amplifies the opportunity to boldly and optimistically open new doors of opportunities in your life. And because this year the New Moon will be in Leo on the Lion’s Gate date, this month I will focus on this rare astrological event and how it will affect each and every one of us and how to harness these energies.

The Lionsgate energy is activated by the combination of the numerology of 8/8 (the 8th day of the 8th month), the Sun in Leo and the rising of the star Sirius, which, together, open a galactic portal sending high vibrational energy towards Earth making 8/8 a power day for manifestation work and one of the luckiest days of the year. Sirius is the star of abundance and creativity, and when joined with the Sun in Leo, the energy to manifest, transform, and bring balance to your life is significantly increased. Expect to experience spiritual and emotional growth as well as luck and abundance.

As one of the brightest stars, Sirius is the Spiritual Sun that illuminates the infinite soul that we are and the infinite journey that we are taking. The Ancients believed it was the Gateway to Heaven and the energy of Sirius carried highly advanced wisdom that we could all tap into. Every year from about July 28th until August 12th, the Lion’s Gate is open with its peak on 8/8, and on that day, the powerful cosmic and spiritual energy converge as Sirius aligns perfectly with Orion’s Belt and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, during which time the Earth also is in alignment with the Galactic Center of the Universe.

The Lionsgate portal activates the heart chakra and healings of old or even current wounds of the heart, freeing you from any grief or sadness that you have been carrying for some time. Don’t replay events in your mind, wondering what should’ve or could’ve happened. Release anything in your life that no longer serves you. Don’t allow your mind to wander to the past or future; instead show up fully in every moment in the now, in the present.

Stop sitting on the sidelines – mentally and physically, and start taking action in your life. Make your voice heard - speak your truth loud and clear. Don’t compromise if you don’t truly want to; instead keep a positive mindset, focus on what you’d like to see more of in your life, and align yourself with those intentions and energies.

Recognize your personal power and release limiting and negative beliefs and assumptions about yourself, your life and your future and open yourself to your deepest passions and purpose. In numerology, 8 is about power and balance - you can see it in its symmetrical shape. When things are balanced, they feel stable, controlled, and supported. This is the power to bring your life into perfect harmony, be it financial stability, emotional well-being, or realized ambitions.

This energy also activates the third eye chakra highlighting spiritual wisdom, enhancing your intuition, and fully opening your creativity. This can happen through dreams, visions, signs, spirit guides, and visits from our loved ones who have passed. It also helps you to tap into the stream of abundance and the flow of resources and money, increasing your financial and material prosperity.

Now is the time to ask yourself if you’ve truly been doing the things that make you feel the most fulfilled in life. Ask yourself: Who am I really? Who am I becoming? What makes me different from everyone else? What is my purpose? Who am I intended to become? What motivates me and makes me feel alive? Am I limiting myself in life, love, business, health, and spirituality? What’s my place in the world? Where do I want to shine more? What changes do I need to make? You may not have all the answers yet or you may think there is nothing to change, but sometimes the things that we have the greatest resistance towards can lead to our greatest breakthroughs.

To take advantage of this powerful alignment, make time to be still, even if it is for 5 minutes, for this will open you to the vibrational shifts. Spend some time journaling, writing down your goals, dreams, wishes, desires, hopes, and passions thereby creating intent to manifest. Create a vision board that visually represents your goals and dreams that will inspire you. Because Sirius has peaceful vibration, surround yourself with nature by taking a walk in the park or by a body of water.
