This New Moon in Taurus is also a partial Solar Eclipse that is the first in a series of eclipses that will continue until the end of 2023. This will enable you to look at who you are and honor who you have been before finding your way forward into something new. It is about your destiny and heading towards it.

On April 30th and for the next six months, expect surprises, sudden endings and beginnings that may upset the status quo but also launch you into a new future as you find your new alignment. This Eclipse will accelerate your movement towards the future asking you to accept change and adapt to it, even if it doesn’t conform to your expectations.

In the sign of Taurus, focus on matters that deal with finances, ownerships, physical and material resources and possessions, comfort, safety and security, values and resistance to change as well as new beginnings and long term changes in these areas. Break open anything that you are holding back and onto. It is about material versus spiritual; about what belongs to you versus someone else; and your resources versus others. Keep your sights set high and stay open to what flows your way because you will find you are exactly where you need to be to realign you back on your true path. Like a course corrector. The secret to change is to adapt to changes rather than resisting them, and not focus on fighting the old, but instead building the new.

Concentrate on how you can increase your own feelings of self-worth. Reevaluate your relationship with money, possessions and what security and comfort mean to you to discover what you truly value and want in your life, and what makes you happy and fulfilled. Let go of difficult situations or people. Time to leave behind your blunders and blocked energies and instead reinvest in yourself – how you make and handle money, your talents, your dreams, wishes and goals.

Where do you need to clear the way for the new in your life?
Ask yourself:
What in your life has given you a false sense of security? Your job, friends, ‘things and stuff’?
Where and how do you spend your money?
Where do you give too much or take too much?
Where have you been overcomplicating your life or not doing enough?
Where have you been jumping to conclusions?
Where have and what have you been holding on that you should have let go?
What makes you feel comfortable and secure?

It is also a time to start on meaningful internal change versus superficial external change; to put your values into action and find alternative creative and inventive solutions to existing problems. Fortify yourself with what resonates with your life value system - look at what you value, and what you are hanging onto even though you don’t value it anymore. Ask yourself what emotions are preventing you from releasing old stuff that gets in the way of moving forward. With a healthy sense of self-worth, you know who you are, you know what you want and you know that you are worthy.

Since Taurus is about finances, this New Moon wants you to rein in your spending and become well versed with your finances. Become more sensible and conservative in your approach to making the necessary financial changes and take a good look at what you actually need versus what you want, which may be a little uncomfortable but enlightening. Get back in touch with the simple things in life, figuratively and literally “stop and smell the roses”. Explore your hopes and wishes and see what may need to be adjusted to align with your spiritual values and what brings you joy.

The number 4 is about strength, practicality, stability, productivity and a realistic view of life that contributes to wise decisions and focusing on solid plans to build secure foundations for the future. The Four of Pentacles urges you to adopt skills to effectively handle your finances, and to not be daunted by surprise developments or ‘shiny objects’. Know that you can’t find true contentment and happiness when consumed by the pursuit of security solely through the acquisition of external things or holding on too tightly to your views of comfort and material success. Material security and stability are very different from being secure in yourself.

The Four of Pentacles reminds you to disconnect your self-worth from your material worth and to balance both your expectations of worldly success with the needs of your authentic self. Let go of your fears and step into a new version of yourself. Acknowledge the value you bring to this world by simply being you. True worth can only be found within.

What you start under this New Moon tends to be long lasting and increases in value but could also become habitual and hard to alter at a later time. Choose wisely. Nurture the seeds of your dreams that will take you down a road of possibilities that will facilitate important changes in your life. Eclipses are a time of process that bring twists, turns and changes that may not be forever; but, in the process you could find a brand new role or path in life.
