New Moon Cancer
June 28, 2022 at 7:52pm PDT
Emotions, comfort, self-care
The first new moon of summer will be in the water sign of Cancer. The Moon symbolizes emotions, especially those where we feel safe, protected,
and nurtured and is quite at home being in Cancer, where these emotions will become magnified and will have each of us seeking our familiar
comfort zones. Take this opportunity to gain clarity around your inner life and your relationships.
This will be a good time for self-reflection, to set your boundaries and practice self-care.
Release old and outdated beliefs or any societal norms that you no longer want to be part of your life.
Explore where you might be trying to be something that you’re not, in order to fit in, to belong.
It’s time to praise yourself for everything that you have learned and experienced and done instead of bending to fit the judgements or expectations of others.
The only person’s expectations you need to honor are your own.
You may also find you are more intuitive, compassionate and be more in tune with your environment and the people in it. The Cancer energy
will help you see new truths, gain new insights and new inspirations. To take stock of all your life experiences thus far in order to grow.
Do some internal work and look at where you have been holding yourself back from expressing yourself. At the same time, the external world might
be pushing your buttons, so don’t let overly sensitive feelings have you overcomplicating or overreacting. The best way to handle difficult
situations or interactions during this New Moon is to let the conflict wash away while acknowledging and accepting that those involved ‘might’
have a point, even though it is ‘their point’ and not yours. Engaging in fruitless discussions or arguments will only add to your own inner
doubts and anxiety. It’s ok that not everyone sees things the same way or is on the same page. Just let everyone ‘be’ just who they are and
you be you.
The Empress is a signal to be kind to yourself.
To take care of yourself and care of others.
To embody compassion and kindness.
It is the careful creation of safe, nurturing and nourishing spaces – your home, your workspace.
There is also self-acceptance here, the willingness to be in your own skin and allow others the same freedom.
It is finding the magic that exists all around you; the pleasure of touch, taste, smell, sound, and sight.
With a lot of give and take, The Empress has this all in balance.
The Ace of Cups tells you that it is time to let loose of whatever emotional baggage you have and start living your life to the fullest. This is
a new chapter in your emotional life. There is a new beginning indicated here - a chance to start fresh. But it does ask for deeper work, for
challenging yourself and showing up for the necessary work of looking into your own heart and soul and confronting the genuine desires that live
there.
The Ace of Cups and The Empress join forces to offer you a new start of emotional generosity to yourself, of nurturing yourself, giving yourself
the love that you deserve and to take care of yourself on all levels. Embrace who you are. Love who you are. Listen to what your heart is
telling you, what it wants. Don’t worry about what is ‘acceptable’ or what ‘fits’, just pay attention to what you know deep inside.
New Moons draw fresh new energy towards you, thus are a good time to set intentions for what you wish to attract into your life. With this New
Moon in Cancer, focus on what you want to nurture and grow. Plant the seeds in helping the feel-good feelings grow. Like the crab who carries
its shell with it, home can always be with you if you feel at home with yourself. Be the best you can be - for yourself!
In less than 6 months, it will be the end of 2022 already.
How are you faring with the dreams, goals and intentions that you had for this year?
Schedule a Reading and let’s do a personal check-in on where and how you still want to make progress.
Until Next Time,
Joyful and Peaceful Blessings,
Lisa Luna
