The Chariot card is The Tarot Card for the Year 2023. Grab the steering wheel, hold on to the handlebars, pick up the reins, because you will be in charge of where and how you go in 2023. This year is about taking action on what is important to you.

In Numerology, the year 2023 is a 7 year (2+0+2+3=7), and the number 7 Tarot card of the Major Arcana is The Chariot. In a 7 year, step back and see how you have changed in response to the growth 2022 asked of you and get clear regarding those changes. Where are you different? How has your outlook changed? Sometimes we don’t even realize we have changed. Just like driving a car or motorcycle or even riding a horse - only one person can be in charge of the steering. 2023 will be a year to get into the driver's seat of your life and be in control of making things happen – to summon your focus, conviction and courage - and decide where you will set out to go and what you will accomplish. If there is a project you’ve wanted to do for years, or a trip you have always wanted to take, 2023 is THE best time to do it because with the Chariot’s support, you have everything you need to take focused action and stay the course, no matter what challenges may come your way.

The Chariot is about uniting opposites, overcoming obstacles and achieving your goal and you will feel motivated, ambitious, and in control to do just that. Be courageous and bold in manifesting your desires and setting your boundaries which will start you moving in the direction to encounter the opportunities that will show up in your life. You can’t tackle the entire world today but taking those first steps forward will build and develop new beginnings and fresh starts.

With what we have all gone through these past two years, we can welcome the feelings of becoming unstuck, of breaking free from restrictions, overcoming limitations and find meaning and clarity. You will see new paths and roads that will beneficially align your energies to wake you up to new realities in finding the ultimate place to plant roots for longer term. A new way of living will begin to unfold, which will only be visible once you start on your new paths. But in order to do so, you will first need to say goodbye to the old. Important structures that can no longer be sustained have to be torn down so a new paradigm can start to grow. Although it will take many time for all the new to crystalize, it begins to take root in 2023.

This is the time to become strong, especially if there are too many doubts and insecurities. You will encounter events and changes, some unexpected and impossible to prepare for, but most will eventually turn out to feel quite natural as long as your risks and decisions were objectively well thought out and your actions supported by analysis and a clear understanding of the situations and what you desire in the outcomes.

It’s a year of self-care - to nurture yourself with the time and care you might have previously denied yourself but given to others. This change will require prioritizing the healing of past hurtful events by having the forgiveness and understanding that will allow you to focus on healing your past now which will set you up for success in the future. You will be on a journey of introspection as to whether the path you are on is in alignment, to check the way in which you are going about things, and to question whether or not what you created in the past still fits or if you have outgrown them. This will allow you to walk paths that bring you closer to what you want and need as an individual. Know that you are going to have a lot of eureka moments throughout the year as you understand yourself better. Focus on getting to the root of things and examine how some core issues have impacted your life. It’s time to highlight your strengths and weed out your weaknesses.

It will be about finding balance between yourself and others. Refine, reconsider, reflect and re-evaluate all the relationships, connections and partnerships in your life with the focus on balancing your life path with others. You will be pushed to better assert your own needs and put yourself first while also figuring out how to work well with others. Those reflections will involve taking some personal responsibility and will ask you to take accountability for the areas in which you’ve let things take an unhealthy turn, thereby getting you back on track.

This year question what you are still holding onto and try to consciously create and widen your world view by welcoming new people into your social circles. This is the first step in working together with others. Prioritize quality and commitment in these new bonds, rather than just adding names to your contact list.

This is the year to take that first step on a new journey.
