2024 Year Ahead
The Strength and Star Cards
Compassion, Patience, Hope
The Tarot card of the year provides insights into the energies and themes that may influence our lives and our world in the coming year.
To find the number and Tarot card associated with the year 2024, add up 2+2+0+4 = 8. It corresponds to the Tarot Strength card (8) and
The Star card (17 or 1+7 = 8).
In Tarot, the number 8 rules the Strength card which is all about testing your strength and reclaiming your power by facing your
fears. Strength is found in compassion, inner strength, patience and forgiveness. It says that strength is even more powerful
when you go with a softer approach.
It represents the harmonious relationship between your inner and outer self and employs compassion and patience. A Year 8 is a
powerful one and seeks to show you that anything is possible. But, you need to understand that all actions taken will have their
consequences, for good or for bad.
The Star card is a card of hope, strength, and optimism that allows you to dream and strive. It signifies a renewal of spirit,
bringing forth calmness, serenity, and an optimistic outlook for the future. Whatever life throws at you, you know you are still
linked to the Divine and can and will be able to handle anything with strength, grace and patience. Throughout all this, you are
developing a new sense of self, a new understanding of the essence of who you are.
On the first day of January, you can look back and ponder what have you really learned about yourself in the last year. Can you utilize
and implement those learnings going into the new year? On that first day, we all have a symbolic blank page on which to write our hopes,
dreams, intentions and goals. Celebrate the possibilities and empower yourself to bring these into your life during the coming year.
Even though challenges and difficulties will arise throughout the year, no matter how big the problems may be, face these with unwavering
courage and confidence while accessing your inner strength along with a gentle but firm approach coupled with perseverance. This is the
kind of inner resilience and strength that you can summon when you think you have none left. The Strength card can be about finding the
vulnerability and gentleness that are hardest to cultivate in those difficult moments. It is about being strong and compassionate. At the
same time, though, keep in mind that everything happens for a reason. What might seem impossible for you to understand right now could
be a blessing in disguise later on.
Work at maintaining a positive mindset. Remember that the Strength card is all about conquering challenges with grace. Focus on solutions,
not problems. Believe in your strength to shape your life the way you desire. Be mindful of not only what you do, but why you do it - the
intentions of all doing. This will determine the momentum, trajectory and results of what you put out there.
Strength is about building strong and lasting relationships. In 2024, take time to go out of your comfort zone and grow your network
of friends and acquaintances. Connect with new people who share your newfound beliefs and ideals. This will also be an opportunity for
growth and deepening within your existing relationships. Develop stronger ties with your immediate and extended families. Teamwork
and a willingness to consider different viewpoints are highly encouraged this year.
2024 can be a year of abrupt changes that alter how we all think and perceive the world. Along with moments of economic challenges,
crises, and harsh reckonings as we challenge and collapse old structures, paradigms, and societal norms, we will be required to let
go of previously cherished patterns, philosophies, beliefs and expectations. Old systems and ways of doing things crumble while new
ones emerge. At times the year will feel hectic and daunting but endings bring beginnings and 2024 holds the possibility of something
different. Remind yourself often that these changes are necessary in order to pave the way for progress so that you, and we all, can
catapult into growth.
Find the perfect balance between realism and idealism, generating the courage to face this crazed world while keeping your mind and
heart open. Learn to remain empathetic, loving, and present with the beauty of each moment, allowing all the waves of frustration,
anger, grief and despair to dissipate without dimming your faith in humanity.
As the world undergoes shifts in societal values this year, notice shifts in your own values. This could involve reevaluating your
beliefs, reassessing your priorities, and embracing new ways of thinking. Do not underestimate just how much your own perspectives
and contributions matter. In a world as big as ours, at times it can feel that what you do is inconsequential. But, this is not so. Although we all reap what we sow, we all still have important parts to play. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that even the smallest deed doesn’t count. It does count!
This year has a strong emphasis on ensuring that the changes you make in your world come from a place that is true to you, as an
individual, and that you are more directly aligned with your authentic calling in life. Do this by being attuned to your own inner compass.
Do you have the courage to face the things you need to face?
To pursue your passions.
To get clear and serious about your goals.
To move away from doubts and anxieties to take bold actions.
To step out of your comfort zone.
Even though imagining a better future and anticipating change can bring insecurity, uncertainty and fear, we will all have the
fierce determination that will be required as we enter this next year.
If any passion projects have been in your thoughts or on hold, this year is time to make significant moves, set clear intentions,
create vision boards, and take deliberate steps toward your ambitions. Goals don’t have to be big, flashy, or overachieving.
They can be small yet mighty that create a change or that move you forward in some way. If you want things to change, you have to change.
Strength embraces patience. And patience is a realization that the long run is more significant and it involves productive activity.
It means doing your very best with the resources available knowing that the results are worth the required time and effort. This coming
year you will have the opportunities for creative visioning that enables you to glean what’s most valuable from the past and create
new futures. Be open to surprises, even if they mean twists of fate.
It is an invitation to nurture your inner strength, resilience and courage.
It is less about pushing and more about flowing.
Less competition and more collaboration.
Less in your head and more in your heart.
Strength reminds you that true power lies in patience, calmness and compassion. In 2024, practice empathy, self-love and take things
slow. Be the strength where it is needed most, whether that be with yourself, your family, friends, community, or the planet.
Start by being the change you want to see in the world.
I hope you are as excited as me for the Year of Strength 2024!
Joyful and Peaceful Blessings,
Lisa Luna
